Welcome

Hello and welcome to my portfolio website. I recently graduated from University of Ulster, Jordanstown, with a 2.1 degreee in Interactive Multimedia Design. I've carried out a range of freelance work, which has helped me find employment, as I now work as a web designer for Vision Solutions NI. The study of Interactive Multimedia Design (IMD) has provided me with a range of skills including web design, graphics, branding, programming and 3D modeling.

Latest Work

This site was created for Vision Solutions NI, a Belfast based web, print and design company. After starting work at Vision, my first task was to redesign the company website. I also did some branding work which has involved redesigning the logo. The logo I created is shown in the image above.

About Me

For those of you from, or familiar with Northern Ireland, I was born and raised in Omagh, Co .Tyrone. After successfully completing GCSE's and A-Levels at Omagh Academy, the time came to leave the nest and move to the big city of Belfast. During years one and two of my University life I continued to hold down my part-time job in retail at the weekends. Third year dawned and it was into the world of 9 to 5 for placement.

Fourth and final year came and went like a flash. A great deal of hard work was required, but it was worth it as I got the degree classification which I was aiming for. Final year has been really intense, not something I would want to go through again, but in saying that I learned a great deal from it. It was a worthwhile experience.

Interests

As a person who likes to keep reasonably active I have a keen interest in sports, both playing and watching. I am an avid fan of the 'beautiful game' also known as football, and of rugby. I also have an interest in tennis and snooker.

From a young age, I have had an interest in computers. Not an interest to the point of 'nerdy' or even close to it, but more than the average person. This led me to study IT at GCSE, A-Level, University and now in full-time work. Other academic interests include history, geography and reading.

It wouldn't be accurate for me to complete an 'Interests' section without including God. I am a born-again Christian and seek to live my life a way that will please God. I try to be active in my Church and it gives me a sense of satisfaction and of purpose. My faith in and desire to live for God requires me to be an honest and friendly person, so whenever I take on work a job, I see it as my duty to to complete it as best I can.
